Reducing morbidity and mortality rates is tough work.

Success requires special expertise and passion. As one of only two individuals in Georgia to hold a Certified Communicator in Public Health (CCPH) credential from the National Public Health Information Coalition, Ryan has cultivated real results in public health:

  • Built Georgia’s CAPUS Care Portal by including dozens of internal and external stakeholders, and Federal counterparts.
  • Launched Georgia’s Public Health website in a near two-year project completed internally without a single external vendor.
  • Launched Georgia SHAPE, the nation’s largest state-sponsored childhood obesity program and web portal.

Success is noticed.

These projects and countless others garnered the attention of the CDC and others, with achievements and honors including 19 individual Awards of Excellence from the CDC’s National Public Health Information Coalition, a Web Health Award, a Georgia Technology Innovation Award from the Georgia Technology Authority, and recognition for Individual and Community Preparedness from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
